The Clever Rabbit of Chitwan

Long ago, near the tall grass of Chitwan, a small rabbit named Sano lived close to a river where a fierce tiger liked to hunt.

One morning, the tiger caught Sano by the riverbank. "I am going to eat you," the tiger growled. But Sano did not run.

"Wait," said Sano calmly. "There is a bigger, fiercer rabbit living in that pond. He said he is stronger than you." The tiger laughed, but curiosity got the better of him.

Sano led the tiger to the water's edge. "Look inside," Sano said. The tiger peered down and saw his own reflection staring back — and, thinking it was the other rabbit's giant rival, he roared and stormed off, never to bother Sano again.
